Public Speaking & Leadership Coaching in London
Most people who come to us are already capable professionals. They may be leading teams, presenting to clients, navigating complex conversations or stepping into higher levels of visibility.
Many are senior leaders, directors and founders who want their communication to reflect the level of responsibility they carry.
What they are looking for is not simply “tips” or performance techniques — but the ability to speak and lead with clarity, steadiness and authentic presence when it really matters.
Our one-to-one coaching supports professionals and leaders who want to feel genuinely confident under pressure — not by pretending to be someone else, but by becoming more fully themselves in the room.
All of our coaching is grounded in The Presence Method™ — the structured framework we use to help professionals stabilise clarity, connection and confidence under pressure.
‘This training has had a huge impact on my ability to speak to audiences in both work and social contexts – to be myself, without fear, and not rely on a scaffold of preparation even under high pressure. I can’t begin to describe how liberating this has been for me.’
Daniel, Senior Director and Legal Counsel

Our coaching draws on a substantial body of relational leadership and communication work — taught within the structured framework of The Presence Method™, and rooted in Presence.
Areas we commonly work on
Coaching is always tailored to the individual, but areas we commonly support include:
- Enhancing Communication Skills: Build stronger connections and express yourself clearly, whether in professional or personal contexts.
- Improving Presentation Skills: Learn to craft and deliver presentations that captivate and inspire your audience.
- Developing Leadership Presence: Use our Presence-based Leadership principles to strengthen your ability to communicate as a leader, motivate others, and command respect.
- Managing Challenging Relationships and Conversations: Deal effectively with office politics and relationships with colleagues and in between departments.
- Understanding systemic challenges within your department and organisation: Uncover the current and historical factors that are holding you and your colleagues back from attaining your collective goals.
- Boosting Public Speaking Confidence: Overcome nerves and learn to enjoy the experience of speaking in front of others.
I had the pleasure of enjoying a series of coaching sessions with Daniel over the past 9 months with the objective of improving my impact and leadership.
Daniel took me through the process of learning to communicate – both from presentation and leadership perspectives. In essence, Daniel taught me how to make the connection be the most important thing in the interaction.
As I progressed, I felt that these techniques became embedded — from difficult conversations to technical presentations to project leadership — so that I believe my communication has improved while maintaining my own distinctive style.

How Quickly Can Coaching Make a Difference?
- In many cases, clients notice a shift in how they experience pressure within the first few sessions — not because they have memorised techniques, but because their internal response begins to change.
-
Long-term coaching can lead to sustained confidence and skill enhancement.
-
The pace of progress varies based on individual goals and commitment.
Coaching Online or in Person
We started coaching online during the Covid-19 pandemic. We found that this gave almost identical quality results to working in-person without the travel time. As a result of this, we have moved the vast majority of our 1-2-1 coaching onto Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet.
If there is a situation you are facing that you believe requires in-person coaching, we are, of course very happy to consider this on a case-by-case basis.
Either way, simply contact us to let us know what your challenges are and we’ll let you know how we can support you.
Do you offer public speaking and leadership coaching online internationally?
Yes – absolutely.
Well, many of our open courses take place in London, the majority of our one-to-one coaching is now delivered online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.
This means we regularly work with professionals and leaders based outside the UK – including clients across Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia – depending on time zone compatibility.
In practice, we have found that online coaching delivers almost identical results to working in person, whilst giving clients much greater flexibility around scheduling and travel.
For many clients, the priority is working with the right coach, rather than working in the same city. If you’d like a free consultation to see if we might be the right fit for you, just get in touch.
What Coaching Can Help You Achieve in Real Situations
I got in touch with Presence because I had a somewhat daunting conference speech coming up in front of 200 safety industry professionals. Daniel helped me significantly with developing the content, structure and delivery of the talk. After preparation with him, I already felt much better about giving the talk.
The talk went very well. I was delighted and relieved. Daniel’s advice gave me the confidence to deliver a really sincere, authentic and impactful presentation. My client said you could hear a pin drop and people were captivated. I’ve had many people, a lot of whom I don’t know, say that my talk was powerful and moving. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is public speaking or presentation coaching?
Public speaking and presentation coaching helps you communicate clearly, confidently and authentically when speaking to others — whether that’s in meetings, presentations, pitches, leadership situations or formal public speaking.
Good coaching goes beyond structure and delivery techniques. It helps you feel more at ease being seen and heard, think clearly under pressure, and connect naturally with your audience.
Who is coaching most useful for?
Coaching is especially useful if you have specific goals, challenges or upcoming situations you want to work on.
Many clients come to us when preparing for high-stakes presentations, stepping into leadership roles, navigating difficult conversations, or wanting to feel more confident and natural when speaking in front of others.
How quickly can coaching make a difference?
People are often surprised by how quickly things can change when coaching focuses on how your mind and body respond under pressure, not just on external techniques.
Many clients feel noticeably more confident and at ease after just a few sessions, and then continue to deepen and stabilise that confidence over time.
How is coaching different from attending a course or workshop?
Coaching is tailored specifically to you — your goals, your communication style, and the real situations you face.
Courses and workshops are usually the best option if you want to build strong foundational skills, learn alongside others, and experience structured practice in a group setting.
Coaching is often ideal if you want highly targeted support, flexible scheduling, or help preparing for a specific challenge.
Can coaching help if I feel very anxious about public speaking?
Yes — many clients come to coaching because of nerves, anxiety or fear around speaking.
Rather than asking you to “push through” anxiety, we help you understand what is happening internally and develop ways to feel more grounded, present and connected when you speak.
Many people find that when this changes, confidence follows naturally.
Do you coach senior leaders as well as people earlier in their careers?
Yes. We regularly work with people at all stages — from early career professionals through to senior leaders and executives.
The core principles are the same, but the focus often shifts. For leaders, coaching may focus more on presence, influence, difficult conversations, and communicating clearly under pressure.
Do you only coach public speaking, or can you help with wider leadership communication and challenges?
Many people initially come to us because of public speaking or presentation challenges.
But a large part of our coaching work focuses on wider leadership communication — including difficult conversations, managing emotional responses under pressure, and developing a leadership style that feels authentic and sustainable.
Some sessions are very presentation-focused.
Others are primarily about how you communicate as a leader day-to-day.
Our coaching draws on a large body of Presence-based Leadership and communication material developed over many years of working with professionals, leaders and senior teams.
What makes your coaching approach different from traditional leadership, communication or public speaking coaching?
Most traditional coaching focuses primarily on techniques — structure, delivery, body language, or presentation performance.
Our work focuses first on helping you feel genuinely at ease being seen and heard – in other words coaching from a ground of Presence, and on building real connection with the people you are speaking to. From there, clarity, structure and impact tend to follow much more naturally.
This is why many clients find the work affects not just presentations or public speaking, but leadership communication, relationships at work, and overall confidence.
